Bussia
The soil that makes
the differences
Cru "Bussia" is historically identified in the part that Monforte descends to Castiglione Falletto and includes Bussia Sottana and Bussia Soprana where the Sottana includes also Munie and Pugnane. Our vineyard are located in Munie. The vineyard is exposed to southwest and west with the average altitude of about 300 meters.
The terrain is characterized by clayey marls with a particularly homogeneous soil with low permeability. Barolo Bussia is a very fruity, powerful wine and with more apparent tannins than those present in Villero. It is a long-lived Barolo, structured to support aging and indeed to improve with time.
